Dental Implants

DESCRIPTION

Dental implants are a highly effective treatment option for replacing lost or extracted teeth. This procedure involves placing a titanium post (or “screw”) surgically into the jawbone, which acts as a stable foundation for restoring both function and aesthetics. Implants can be combined with crowns, bridges, or dentures to restore the ability to chew and improve the appearance of your smile.

Before proceeding with dental implant surgery, a 3-dimensional X-ray or CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) scan is essential. This advanced imaging technique allows the dentist to assess the bone density, diameter, and thickness of the jawbone, ensuring an accurate treatment plan. The results of this examination are crucial for determining the ideal size of the implant and identifying any additional procedures, such as a sinus lift or bone grafting, that may be necessary to support the implants.

TREATMENT TIME FRAME

Dental implants surgery basically  divided into 2 phase :

  • Phase 1: Implant Surgery (5–7 days trip)
During the first phase, we will begin with a thorough consultation, including an X-ray and treatment planning. If you agree with the proposed treatment plan, we will proceed with the surgery on the same day. The duration of the surgery will depend on the complexity of the procedure, typically lasting between 1 to 4 hours. After the surgery, we will schedule a follow-up visit in 5 to 7 days to assess the healing process, remove any stitches, and evaluate your comfort level and any potential discomfort. If everything is progressing well, the next appointment will be scheduled for 3 to 6 months later.

Phase 2: Implants Check & Follow-up Surgery (7–14 days trip)
After a minimum of 3 to 6 months, a follow-up appointment will be necessary to perform another X-ray and check the integration of the implants with the bone. If the implants has successfully integrated, our dentist will replace the cover screw with a healing abutment in preparation for the next step of the process. In some cases, if the implants is not fully integrated or has failed, we may need to perform additional surgery to remove the previous implant and replace it with a new one. Should the implant be covered under the bone, an open surgery may be required, and we will wait 3 to 4 days for the gum to heal before proceeding with the impression.

Once the impression has been taken, the procedure for the crown placement will proceed as it would for a traditional porcelain crown, resulting in a natural, aesthetically pleasing final restoration.
